The Mississippi River Sampler Guild encourages all individuals to pursue historical and contemporary knowledge of samplers, and to raise and maintain standards of technique and design.

Needlework is a heritage passed down to generations through the items stitched.

Even greater, and more important, is the heritage that is passed from one to the other as we teach the hands around us to carry on the gift.

Remember the hands that have taught you and be willing to teach new hands. Pass the heritage to the next generation.
